I understand that by virtue of my employment with the University of Connecticut, I may have access to information and records which may contain personally identifiable information of students, the unauthorized disclosure of which is prohibited by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

I understand that any such information and records maintained by the University of Connecticut on a computer system or database is part of the student’s education record and therefore protected by FERPA. I understand that access to such a system or database is limited to the minimum information necessary to complete my authorized job duties, and that I may communicate such information only to other authorized individuals in accordance with FERPA.

I understand and acknowledge that University of Connecticut student information and records are confidential and any unauthorized disclosure of this information or records may constitute a violation of University Policy, including but not limited to the FERPA Policy, and could result in disciplinary action and sanctions up to and including dismissal.
